So I picked up the new Maybelline Master Duo on a whim the other day when I was in Boots - I don't really need another liquid liner, but I've been so intrigued at how it changes from thick to thin I just had to see for myself. The advert makes it look so... Magic. In reality the brush is just oval shaped, so if you hold it one way it's thin; or just rotate it 90 degrees for a slightly thicker line.
The brush itself is a felt tip-type liner, which tend to be the type I prefer. However, I do feel like the 'thin' version of the brush isn't all that thin. It's ok for simply lining your eyes, but for any fancy flicks or cat eyes, this is not the liner I'd use.
On to the actual product itself. It claims to give an ultra glossy finish, be waterproof and give 24 hour wear - all of which I agree with. I applied it in the morning and by the time I got back from work at 11pm it hadn't budged. I decided to leave it on while I slept to see if it still held up - it did. It even stayed put when I was putting my contacts in the next morning (for anyone that doesn't wear contacts, putting them in tends to make your eyes water and mess up any eye make up you've already applied).
However, the actual product is very watery and, in my opinion, quite awkward to apply. It seeps down into your lashes and trying to draw any super thin precise lines is hard as you get a sort of 'water droplet' of product at the end of the line you've just draw, due to it being quite watery and needing a fair amount of product to get an intense black colour.
Over all the product isn't terrible for £5.29. I will find a use for it as the lasting power on it is so good, but it definitely isn't a 'slap on and go' liner - you do have to spend a little more time and effort when applying it to make it look right. I don't see this being a product I will be repurchasing, and wouldn't recommend it for any liquid liner novices as it is quite awkward to use.
All in all this is a 'so-so' product in my eyes.
Have any of you tried out this liner? If you have let me know what you think :)

I haven't seen an eyeliner with such an odd tip. It looks like it would be so difficult to use without making a mess haha :)

I've been wondering about this eyeliner! I just dont get the rounded tip at all! I like liquid liners to be quick and easy to use and not take tons of time to get on. Thanks for the review, I know i'll be staying away from this now :) x
